Convenient location to Rothwell where I was visiting. Quiet location and a simple but adequate continental breakfast.
There seemed to be only one person on site, was this enough in case of emergency?
Rooms tidy comfortable and warm
Owner was blunt sharp and didn't make it clear when breakfast was served to, made us feel like idiots when we challenged him about it
Nice quiet hotel. Friendly.Although continental breakfast advertised, was cereal and toast as well. Plenty of food to eat and a couple of restaurants close by.A great bus service running between Leeds and Wakefield with bus stop just outside the hotel if you did not want to take the car.Good location for sightseeing, and would stay there again.
The room was basic and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the car park free with plenty of spaces.
The hotel was right next to the motorway and the noise can be heard day and night. The breakfast is basic and its a shame they don't offer a basic room service menu or guests use of a microwave. The wi fi doesn't work in every room.
Reasonably convenient location for both Leeds and Wakefield but comfortably isolated from the centres of either and so the immediate area is fairly quiet and relaxed. There is a bus stop right outside with frequent services to both Leeds and Wakefield every day, so no problem about relying upon public transport for general mobility in the area. A couple of restaurants within the vicinity (I.E. without having to go into a city centre).
Visitors should be aware, for the avoidance of doubt, that the hotel is extremely close to a motorway but I did not find this problematic because the rooms appear to be very well insulated against traffic noise.
Located close to West Yorkshire cities and motorway network. Breakfast included in price.
It isn't easy to find. It's not the hotels fault but local roads are poorly signposted, particularly the A654.
It's country side old fashioned building
Smelly toilet and room itself . No wi fi facility in rooms . It's not value of money at the same price you can get better place . That's what I missed too.
Inexpensive, clean, near to Cantonese and offered a discount there.
No cooked breakfast on offer at all. Pillows far to hard - gave me a cricked neck.
It was ideal for an overnight stay and getting into Leeds early the next morn was easy, so it suited our needs well.
Not a grumble, but an observation: we couldn't pick up the internet in our room.
Owner was very friendly and chatty. Had a huge room, nice breakfast, very close to everything in Leeds we wanted to see.
It is good value but very dated and out of the way slightly. The breakfast was standard and the rooms were as expected. Only one member of staff we saw whilst staying there, pleasant and friendly. Truth is there's better valued hotels out there with more modern feel.
We had only a short stay but there was nothing particularly attractive about this hotel.
Sheets were stained, towels frayed, dirty carpet in shower room, uncomfortable mattress.
The breakfast was free and very nice
It was a little bit cold and damp. But don;t be put off by the initial feel of the hotel, we ended up liking it
Clean and tidy hotel. A bit old fashioned but went with the building style. Room was very good. Clean and fresh bed, tv and tea making facility. Plenty hot water for shower. Quiet area .
No real complaints. Neighbours are quiet as it's the graveyard in the church grounds.
We found the hotel clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay in. As we were visiting family near by it was convenient and we would stay there again. We liked the large uncluttered room, easy to use hot shower and good continental breakfast.
Could hear some moterway noise if window was open.
